>Athlete accepts assigned workouts
>Athlete serves as a good role model and displays good sportsmanship
>Athlete shows interest in performance of self as well as teammates
>Athlete is respectful to coaches, officials, and other competitors
>Due to this year’s circumstances, we are unable to have our usual attendance policy. However, we expect the same commitment to our team as in other years. Covid related absences will not count against your attendance. Asymptomatic quarantined athletes will have workouts to do and will text proof to their pod coach in order to get attendance credit for that day. Ill athletes should NOT workout!!
>Any athlete who has committed a chemical violation during the academic year will forfeit all team awards, lettering, team poster and captainship for the academic year in which the violation occurred. THIS INCLUDES SUMMERS as stated in the contract with MHS and MSHSL.
Provided that ATTENDANCE, ATTITUDE, and PARTICIPATION are satisfactory, a letter will be awarded to each individual who achieves:
>Ran on Varsity at the Conference Championship Meet
>Ran the time standard of 22:00 on a sanctioned 5K course.
>3rd year participant of the Cross Country team
>A Senior who does not qualify in any other category and has participated on the team for 2 years.
** The Head Coach and Assistant Coaches will make final decisions regarding lettering.
