Camp Information - AUGUST 21-24, 2022

Cross Country Camp is Sunday, August 21 through Wednesday, August 24, 2022. 

In order to attend cross country camp:

  • All athletes need to attend the first week of practice (August 15-19) to attend camp.  In other words, an athlete cannot miss the first week of practice and expect to attend camp.  This is out of safety concerns and well-being for the athlete.
  • 9th Graders need to complete 75 miles, 10th Graders need to complete 175 miles, and 11th and 12th graders need to complete 200 miles of summer running.
  • All athletes need to be able to run 2 miles without stopping.  This is a requirement to help ensure safety and supervision while at camp.


We will meet at the West Entrance of the high school on Sunday.  Please be there at 1:30 so we can leave by 2:00.  A packing list is below.  We will stop in Alexandria on the way up to eat dinner so please bring money.  We will arrive at camp around 6:00 pm

Camp is located at: Faith Haven Camp, 38360 N. Eagle Lake Rd, Battle Lake, MN.

The camp is located on Eagle Lake, located 7 miles South of Battle Lake on Highway 78, then 1 mile East.

DIRECTIONS: From the cities, take I-94 past Alexandria about 25 miles to the Ashby exit, then take Hwy 78 approximately 10-11 miles North. There will be Faith Haven signs, then take a right and the drive 1 mile East to camp.

COST: $190. Cost covers food, accommodations, and transportation. Please make checks payable to “MTFCCA.”

RETURN: We will be leaving camp after lunch on Wednesday at approximately 1:30pm. We should arrive at the West Entrance of MHS around 4:30-5:00pm.

If an athlete DOES NOT attend camp, they are REQUIRED to attend practice Monday-Wednesday at MME.  Practice times are 7:30-9:45.
