Bio

My wife Diane and I moved to Medina from Big Lake in 2012. While officially retired, We are still  involved in education.  Diane supervised student teachers for St. Cloud State University.  I volunteer with Habitat for Humanity doing youth presentations and projects.   We have two adult children and three grandchildren.  I enjoy golf, fishing and woodworking in my spare time.

Coaching experience

• Member of coaching staff that guided Minnetonka girls to back to back state championships in 2013 & 2014.
• Head boys coach at Fridley High school / 1975-1977 .  
• Assistant boys coach at Blaine High School / 1977-1992. 
• Assistant boys and girls coach at Champlin Park High School / 1992-2012. 
• Assistant girls coach at Minnetonka High School / 2012-2015. 
• Head boys and girls cross country coach at Blaine High School / 1979-1996
• 3 years collegiate experience coaching jumps and hurdles @ U of Wisconsin - LaCrosse
• Lead triple jump instructor  U of Minnesota one day Track and Field camps 20 yrs,  
• Lead triple jump instructor U of Wisconsin one day Track and Field camps, 5 yrs.
• Coached 2 collegiate All-Americans
• Coached 3 MSHSL individual track champions
• Coached 14 other track athletes to either 2nd or 3rd in state competition
• Numerous other state level place winners and competitors
• Section 5AA  Assistant Track Coach of the Year 2011
• Head coach of 2017 Girls AAA True Team Champs
• Head Coach of 2018 MSHSL Champs
• USTFCCCA Minnesota Girls Head Coach of the Year

Competitive Experience.  

• Four year letter winner and two time All-Conference while running Track at UW - LaCrosse.
• Ran cross-country three years and was member of the freshman basketball team at UW - LaCrosse
• Best track efforts:  400 hurdles, 54.8. triple jump, 45'3". high jump, 6'5". long jump, 22'6"
