August 15 - First day of practice
August 21-24 - Cross Country Camp...You MUST attend practices August 15-19 in order to be eligible to go to camp. There is also a summer mileage requirement. See "CAMP" tab at left.
EVERY DAY - 3 sets of sit ups and push ups
TUESDAY/THURSDAY - Also do 10 burpees and 10 hydrants
Monday 7/4 - 5K Race or do a 21-minute tempo run. Eat watermelon! Have fun! :)
Tuesday 7/5 - 50-minute run for experienced runners. Less experienced do 30-40 minutes.
Wednesday 7/6 - At MHS track, do 8x up the long hill starting at 200. (Less experienced can do fewer.) Surge at the top of the hill. Walk down recovery. 20-minute cooldown (such as Old South).
Thursday 7/7 - 55-minue run for experienced runners. Less experienced do 40-50 minutes).
Friday 7/8 - 40-minutes of 7s and 3s (7 minutes of "normal" pace, 3 minutes of tempo pace). Less experienced do 20-30 minutes.
Saturday 7/9 - Long run of 8 miles. Less experienced do 4-7 miles.
