Girls Track & Field

Regular Season 2017

Coach Steffen named Minnesota girls track and field head coach of the year

2018 USTFCCCA High School T&F Coaches of the Year

State-by-state winners were selected based on their teams’ performances throughout the 2018 outdoor track & field season. Among the factors taken into consideration were team score and placement at the state championships, margin of victory, performance against rankings if available, individual championships, and how their teams’ performances stacked up to previous years (e.g. first title in school history, consecutive titles, etc.).

Membership Plea

MTFCCA Membership Plea

As we approach the annual Tonka Turkey Trot there is a need for volunteers to pull this off.  The same core group of parents have shouldered the load for many years.  A special word of thanks to those parents.  Many of these parents no longer have students in the program. If we could get a couple parents to volunteer from each grade level,  it would contribute to continuity and transition from year to year.  A particular need is in the area of graphic arts, but any and all skills are welcome.  If you can help, please consider helping this year and for a few years in the future.

Tonka Turkey Trot

Tonka Turkey Trot Volunteers Needed

The 9th annual Tonka Turkey Trot 5K will take place on Thanksgiving morning at 8:30 AM.  We need additional volunteers to help monitor the race course and make sure we provide all runners and walkers with a safe, enjoyable and healthy experience. It’s a great way for student-athletes to help the MTFCCA’s largest fund-raising event, get in volunteer hours and, on Thanksgiving Day, give back to the community that supports them.
